The Verdict

Majority rules. The guilty drink their sentence. The defendant marks it served — optionally with photographic evidence. The court records everything.

Guilty
The dossier

Every verdict,
on the record.

The court keeps a running transcript. Nothing is forgotten. Everyone is accountable.

Asynchronous justice
File charges and vote on your own time. The voting window runs until it closes or everyone has weighed in — whichever comes first.
🗳
Three verdicts, one winner
Guilty. Innocent. Jury Nullification — for when they're clearly guilty but you're feeling merciful. Majority rules. Ties acquit.
🔨
Democratic sentencing
Every guilty voter names their sentence. The court applies the median. No one person decides the punishment.
🎉
Proof of payment
The convicted marks their fine as served. Photographic evidence optional but strongly encouraged. The group reacts accordingly.

The glossary

Know the terminology.

FineTime takes its jurisprudence seriously. Familiarise yourself.

The Accused
The defendant. The one whose actions have been deemed worthy of judicial scrutiny by at least one of their so-called friends.
The Charge
A written account of the alleged offence. Specificity is encouraged. Vagueness is for the innocent.
In Session
Voting is open. The jury is deliberating. The defendant should be sweating.
Jury Nullification
A vote of guilty-but-merciful. The behaviour is acknowledged. The sentence is waived. Use sparingly.
The Sentence
The fine levied upon the guilty. Measured in sips, pints, or shots, as determined democratically by the jury.
Served
The fine has been paid. The court is satisfied. The defendant walks free — until next time.
The Transcript
The full record of proceedings. Comments, reactions, and testimony, preserved for posterity.
Dossier
Your personal court record. Every charge filed. Every verdict received. A complete account of your judicial history.
